NFPA and Kick designed a three-day blended learning experience to teach participants to locate, interpret, and apply sprinkler system requirements as outlined in the NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems code.
The “what” (definitions, layout of the code, etc.) was pulled out of the class and into a 30-minute online prework eLearning module, allowing more classroom time to focus on the “how.” Activities were interspersed throughout the course to allow participants to practice applying the provisions of the code in a variety of settings.
We also created engaging participant guides that are more than just thumbnails of slides with lines for notes. Key takeaways and activities are strewn throughout the workbooks and students can use these as a reference tool long after the classroom session.
